Funeral services for John "Cal" Skinner, 57, formerly of Girardville, who passed away peacefully Friday evening at Paoli Hospital, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday from Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Lavelle. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. I loved playing soccer with Cal at Elliot before school would start and at lunchtime. Cal was a tough fighter. I was very small in elementary school and Cal saved me from a couple of guys that were interested in re-arranging my clothes one day. Cal changed their minds. I was always grateful for him standing up for me.
I wish his family well.

Hey Bob...same story here. We both were rather small and Cal too always had my back. Recall one time some kid attacked me from behind on the Elliot battlefield and Cal took him out. He had a wild streak in him...but a good heart. BTW, I switched from putting with a 2 iron back to a putter...

Kevin, Cal would have loved the 2 iron. Cal would have never laid up.
I would have given Cal his second putt anyway. BH
